Quality Assurance

We have been awarded Gold Standard in the Growing Together quality assurance scheme run by Birmingham Early Years Development and Childcare Partenership.

Our latest Ofsted inspection report, carried out in June 2007, described the Kindergarten as offering good quality childcare and education. Here are some of the comments made about the Kindergarten in the report.

• Children are cared for in a welcoming and well organised environment
• Children of all ages thrive when playing in the open air
• Superb continuity of care
• Children use numbers independentlty and with great confidence
• Children are very motivated and keen to learn
• Staff provide a child-oriented environment where learning is exciting and enjoyable

Three recommendations were made to improve the service even further, which have all since been addressed. The building has been redecorated and refurbished throughout; the rooms for one and two year olds have been merged to improve access to a wider range of equipment and activities, and a wider range of battery operated toys have been purchased to improve the I.C.T. provisions.
